I looked under the known issues and known limitations stickies, and I posted this in the bugs subforum (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=10236), so please don't take my boxee away just because I'm doing this wrong.
First and foremost, thanks. This thing has completely displaced my TV. Granted, I'm in an odd living arrangement, so I'm not sure how everyone else feels about it. And I dream of sending the output to my imaginary big-screen TV one day. So, yeah, thanks.
Anyway, on my mac, the highest volume on the boxee DVD playback, or any other boxee play back, is lower than that of other mac software. I often have to switch back to the apple DVD software because I can't hear some of the dialogue in boxee. Now that I think about it, even iTunes has a louder volume than Boxee. Is there a special mac preference that sets a particular piece of software's volume?
I just updated the version recently (and thanks particularly for having boxee detect whether a newer version is available), so that's that.
