Okay, this is my first day. I've got a problem that needs some assistin.'

I have all of my movies in a folder on an external drive, 'LaCie,' like this: /LaCie/Movies.

I have all of my tv shows located at /LaCie/TV Shows.

I've added them as sources to the respective sections for 'Movies' and 'TV Shows' in Boxee, but both movies and tv shows are showing up in Movies. I want my movies there, but of course I'd like my TV shows under TV Shows.

Any suggestions?

I too keep my media sorted like that and would love to find a way to tell Boxee to keep the separate based on my folder structure.

If I go under 'Video' and then 'Sources' I am able to navigate the folder structure and access my media in the way I've sorted but it's not using the full interface boxee provides. It's basically working the same way Front Row does.

Also, as my media is scanned Boxee seems to be trying to sort the two items based on what it thinks the items are, but it's not bullet proof (It's like this software isn't ready for a full release... :) ) and I don't see a way to tell it that a movie is really a show ect.

It's an amazingly powerful platform though that is miles ahead of anything else I've seen. Truly bringing together the best of local media, DVDs, files ect with the best of internet media. I could do with a more upfront approach to accessing my media but pressing 'left' to get to my stuff first won't kill me...

about sorting, if i let boxee sort by file name
he gives me this

AC/DC / '74 Jaibreak
Iron Maiden / A real live one
cold Play / A rush of.......
U2 / Achtung Baby
AC / DC / Back in Black
Channel Zero - Unsafe
Gary Moore / Close as you get
Skitsoy / Come 2 Belgium
and so on.............

as you see thats not right
boxee drops everithing in front of the "/" to sort, if there is a "-" between the name of the band and the song he does it right.

strange thing is everything in that directory is devided with "-"
as in "bandname - songname"
it's boxee that changes most of them to "bandname / songname"

"AC-DC - Black Ice" becomes "AC/DC / Black Ice"
