Sorry to bother everyone but a repeat of an earlier post.
How do I get boxee which is installed on my atv to index the media on my atv it says it's connected to my local media folder in user/frontrow/movies user/frontrow/music ect ect but there is nothing there what's going on! I have loads of movies pics and songs on my atv also boxee can't find my mac it sees my router and next doors pc

So has anyone got these features working on their atv with boxee?

Thanks

I am also having this issue. I have a ton of videos in the Movies folder, but Boxee doesn't see them...any ideas?

I just installed Boxee on my ATV yesterday, and spent a lot of time playing with it. All the online media works fine, but like the others above me, it doesn't see ANYTHING on my ATV. I have tons of movies, pictures, and music.

What am I doing wrong??

The majority of the media which are synced to your ATV end up in /mnt/Media/Media Files. Photos appear to end up in /mnt/Media/Photos. If you add these as new sources the media should get picked up.

However, be warned, I'm having issues with metadata for items found here.

using local files as synchronized by the atv is not the best solution, as the atv uses a nonsensical naming system for the files... but just the same, lladnaar is correct about the store location.

so we should NOT use the frontrow/Movies, Pictures, Music folders?

you can... but if you do, boxee is unlikely to recognize your media, as it's recognition logic is based largely on file names, and folder structure.
