View Full Version : Status 11 exit accessing ms-dvr files

I'm running the latest version of boxee on appletv 2.1
I've added a network source to a share located on a Vista Ultimate box.
This share contains multiple ms-dvr files recorded using Vista Ultimate media center.
When I open up the source it shows me the files and spinning bars on each as its trying to do something. Then it bails with a Status 11

do you have any other shares you can test it with..

i might be mistaken, but i believe dvr-ms file are drm protected. boxee cannot play drm'd files.

Even if that's the case, dear AL, I don't think an exit of the program with status 11 is the best response.

I'm getting the same result in various situations. I'll try to find a replicable (l'm not sure if that is English) situation.

Until now I've been making general usage. The experience has been quite good for an alpha release, but I have to say I found several bugs, had some hang and unexpected exits (with codes 6, 8,10,11)... From now on I'm gonna try to be useful and document each one with explaples to reproduce it.

For example, when I watch the totally RAD show's last episode (I'll recommend it to you) and it gets to minute 2:18 it exists boxee with error status 8... It might be a glitch in the vidoo but I guess exiting is not the expected behavior

Anyway loving it.

you're 100% correct... i was thinking more about the file not working, than boxee's response to said file.

Not all DVR-MS files have DRM. I have some open ones that I am testing with, and boxee hard crashes. If you use QAM or ATSC tuners that should be in the clear, the CableCard stuff won't be accessible. But who has those with Microsoft not releasing the hardware or software in the aftermarket!?

I'm on it with the clear DVR-MS stuff!
